    Financial KPI Dashboard

Track the 18 KPIs that most explain whether a business is healthy. Each KPI includes its formula, your current value, target, and calculated variance.

    Why this matters

Businesses that track a small set of KPIs monthly outperform businesses that don't, often significantly. What gets measured gets managed.

Three categories matter most: profitability (gross margin, net margin, EBITDA), liquidity (current ratio, cash runway, DSO), and growth (revenue growth, CAC, LTV:CAC).

Pick 5-8 KPIs to review every month. Reviewing all 18 monthly is possible but usually more work than the marginal insight is worth.

    How to use it

    1. Pull the underlying numbers from your accounting software's P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows.
    2. Enter the current value for each KPI in the 'Current' column.
    3. Set targets based on industry benchmarks or your budget.
    4. Variance calculates automatically, highlight anything more than 10% off target.
    5. Duplicate the sheet each month so you can trend KPIs over time.
    6. Review with your leadership team the same week every month.
